Mobile Homes
Mobile homes are pre-constructed in a factory and then shipped to the site for quick and easy set up, so that the future owners can move in quick, and start enjoying their new home. Unfortunately, a lot of these buildings are constructed with minimal insulation or comfort in mind, which results in a drafty, and noisy home which has high energy bills.
TNT Insulation, working alongside this home owner, installed closed cell spray foam insulation in the exterior walls of this home, to improve the comfort level of the home, eliminate drafts, and reduce the sound that is heard from the neighboring units.
RESIDENTIAL / HOME OWNER PROJECTS
New Home Construction
This new home is well insulated, and will experience low utility bills as well as a healthy indoor air environment. The walls were insulated with closed cell spray foam insulation, and the attic space was insulated using borax treated cellulose insulation.
The garage was insulated the same way, using a combination of closed cell spray foam insulation and cellulose insulation.
The shed, was insulated with netted cellulose insulation. On this project we also applied spray foam to the bottom 1.5 to 2 feet of the exterior wall areas, due to the building being a slab on grade, which will help protect against insects, moisture, and other increase the energy efficiency of the building.
Second floor remodel
Application of closed cell polyurethane spray foam insulation on the exterior walls, and exterior top plates. The spray foam will serve as a thermal and vapor barrier which will help control energy costs. As an added benefit, the spray foam installed at the top plates will boost up the R-Value at the eave line, which will help prevent ice damming and excessive heat loss. The attic was insulated with cellulose insulation, after air sealing measures were performed, which also improves the indoor air quality of the home.
Cape Cod roof tear off
TNT Insulation works with roofing companies, the best in the area, to open up tough, inaccessible, cape cod style homes, so that they can be properly air sealed and insulated. Pictured here is the removal of fiberglass insulation to make way for energy efficient, closed cell, spray foam insulation. Spray foam insulation will make this home more comfortable, while eliminating the risk of ice damming.
Basement Insulation
This home owner was experiencing some mold concerns with the pre-existing fiberglass insulation which was removed and disposed of by a mold abatement company. Application of closed cell polyurethane spray foam insulation on the exterior walls will serve as a thermal and vapor barrier which will help control energy costs. No more concerns about mold and poor indoor air quality in this area of the home!
